I don't want material things on Valentines Day

As I read my newsfeed on Facebook I am shocked at all of the thoughts on vday. It seems like these ppl are upset with their guys 364 days of the year but today they are super excited to get flowers, a balloon, a stuffed animal, and candy. Am I the only one that didn't request these things. Of course my husband didn't comply but why spend so much time and enegy on showing love on only one day when he shows me his love for me everyday?! I am truly blessed to have him even though on some days I may not remember it.
